Tyreek Hill Not Suspended, What This Means for the Kansas City Chiefs

Wide receiver Tyreek Hill was under investigation for off the field issues during the offseason and there were a bunch of questions as to whether or not he would be suspended for his actions. Hill will not be suspended for his actions. He will be able to report to training camp and be ready to play in Week 1 for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road on Sunday September 8.

However, if something else comes up the NFL will launch another investigation. They have struck out many times when it comes to handing out or not handing out suspensions in the past.

Tyreek Hill means a lot for this football team. Not only is he the fastest player in the NFL, but Hill also catches passes effectively and returns punts on this football team as well. He caught 87 passes for 1,479 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns.

Tyreek Hill also had 22 carries for 151 yards rushing last season and one touchdown last season as well. His speed causes a ton of problems for defensive backs in the NFL.

He is only 25 years old and Hill is about to enter the prime of his NFL career. A lot of people already consider him a Top 10 receiver.

The other current wide receivers on the roster now are Demarcus Robinson, Sammy Watkins, rookie Mecole Hardman, Gehrig Dieter, Marcus Kemp, Byron Pringle, Davon Grayson, Rashard Davis, and rookies Felton Davis III, Jamal Custis, and Cody Thompson.

If Hill were to be suspended, players like Robinson, Watkins, and Hardman would have a bigger role on this team. They still have Travis Kelce at the tight end position and he is one of the best in the NFL.

Kansas City also has a solid backfield and what helps is that Head Coach Andy Reid is one of the best offensive minds in the NFL.

It also helps when Patrick Mahomes is also the starting quarterback for this football team. He won the MVP Award last season and I would not be surprised to see him win it again this season.

The Chiefs will most likely be one of the favorites, if not the favorites to win Super Bowl LIV this upcoming season. When Tyreek Hill is on the field playing, opposing defenses have to game plan for his speed, but speed is not teachable. You either have it or you don’t.

The 2019 season will be very interesting for him now. He has to avoid a ton of off the field distractions. Hill’s performance on the field early in the season will show whether or not this off the field stuff is bothering him on the playing field.

Kansas City released running back Kareem Hunt last season late in the year due to a disturbing video and now he is playing for the Cleveland Browns, but Hunt is suspended for the first eight games of the 2019 NFL season however.
